F-16C Falcon Thunderbirds
The F-16 was intended to be a cost-effective "workhorse" that could do various missions and maintain around-the-clock readiness. The F-16C, a single-engined, multi-role jet fighter aircraft variant of the F-16, first flew in June, 1984 and entered USAF service in September. It is among the jet aircrafts flown by the Thunderbirds.
Activated in 1953, the Thunderbirds are the Air Demonstration Squadron of the United States Air Force. They perform aerobatic formation and solo flying in specially-marked USAF jet aircraft. The demonstration squad currently flies 12 F-16Cs which were built in 1986 and 1987. The aircrafts are some of the oldest operational F-16s in the Air Force.
The team switched to the “C” version in 1992 with changes like the replacement of the 20mm cannon and ammunition drum with a smoke-generating system, including its plumbing and control switches, the removal of the jet fuel starter exhaust door, and the application of the Thunderbirds' glossy red, white, and blue polyurethane paint scheme.
The F-16C Falcon Thunderbirds wood model plane are multi-role jet fighter plane variants of the F-16 used in performing aerobatic formation and solo flying. They are specially-marked USAF jet plane in glossy red, white, and blue polyurethane paint scheme. It is replicated in this detailed hand-carved mahogany wood model plane and hand-painted with great concern for accuracy.
